That'd depend on how the sensors and alarms and whatever work. Since the phones run on some sort of weird god-magic, they talk to each other fine but it's different than like... Picking up signals through radio or Bluetooth or something. Whatever physical thing you're working with has to be able to talk to the phones for an app to control them, if that makes sense.
Depending on what it is, you might have better luck wiring up a remote from junk in the shops or something, but I'm not an engineer.
