Sounds like the first thing to do is to talk to Hope, then. See what's possible and if he's down with the idea, and if it'd actually be useful to get him one of the weapons in the first place.

I'm uh, relying on a combo of people either liking me or not wanting to piss me off with a murder attempt, carrying a gun, having a wolf, and just generally being awesome.

Yeah. And I mean, I'm not huge on things getting all chaotic and dangerous, but at the same time like... The waiting for things to go wrong was kind of just as bad. At least we're getting somewhere, for better or worse.
